Traveling on

I last left off with our visit with my daddy. That was a WONDERFUL day!!!!
We stayed at Silver Strand state park until February the 23rd. In that time we had lots of visitors. Ray (Eddie's brother) and his family, Susie, Erika & Nicholas all came by to visit us.

Also Dain (my brother) & his wife Maryann dropped by. We had great visits and good food with all of them.
As Eddie's cold was getting better, mine was coming on full force. So when we moved to the Vacationer RV park in El Cajon, we cleaned and scrubbed Freeda including all of our bedding. I wanted to get rid of the germs!!!!
Of course, NOTHING was going to stop me from getting a grinder!!!!
I had been craving one since we arrived in Southern California. It is just about the BEST pastrami sandwich EVER!!!!!!
Trish and Walter who are dear old friends of ours came by and saw us. The next day I went to the pool to get some sun while Eddie worked on his latest painting. It is of Point Loma with a surfer girl on it.
Ray and Susie came over for another visit. It is SO great to be able to see them so much. After being gone for so many years, it has been the best thing EVER to be around family and friends. Never again will we be so far away for so long from everyone we love. One of those loved ones is Rachel Matthews. Her and her son Chucky visited us. We surprised Chucky. It was fun. Rachel is as awesome and beautiful as ever. I swear she does not age!!! We stayed up late laughing and catching up.
On the 26th we drove up to Alpine. We went to the Viejas Indian reservation to check out the campground there. I inquired about a high school friend of mine that used to live there. She still was there so I got to see see her, her husband and a couple of her kids. I hadn't seen them in about 20 years. She is a grandma now, but doesn't look like it. I think I am the only one getting old!!!!!
High school friends
While there, some military helicopters flew over us. It was pretty cool.
Thursday the 27th Walter & Trisha had us over for dinner. We also got to visit with more old and now new friends. Trish made us a delicious meal. They have such a beautiful home. We stayed and had good laughs until later than Eddie and I are used to being up to. But it was a good time.
The next day Eddie and I had lunch with Brian & Traci, more dear old friends. Another awesome visit. Brian looks GREAT, and Traci is such a sweetie. It was a lovely lunch.
March 2nd was a travel day. The breakdown was pretty easy. We didn't have the awning out, and the dolly was already attached due to it being a pull thru spot. We didn't have far to go. We just drove to Escondido. Elizabeth is going to be in town for work, and we wanted to be close to see her as much as possible. I had met the manager of this park at the Abbotsford B.C. RV show, and so we were able to get a discount. That is good, because it was still pretty expensive. That being said, this is a VERY nice park!!!!!!!!!! They keep it immaculate and the staff are really nice. We would have loved to be able to stay longer, but we do not have that kind of budget.

Elizabeth day was March 3rd. We got up and went down to the pool to kill time until we were to see our "Wiggie" After the pool, we drove to take some pix of "Bear rock" Bear rock is a natural formation that my Grandma Pulis pointed out to us as kids. It looks like a mama and baby bear. Eddie is going to do a new painting with bear rock on it. Bear rock is located just North of Escondido.
Later that evening, Elizabeth came by and got to meet our Freeda.  She really likes our condo on wheels and felt right at home. Elizabeth gave Suzy a new nickname of piglet!!!!

We drove with Elizabeth to her friends house for a get together for her and Rob. We met some of their former co-workers and had a real nice evening.

We stayed in Escondido for four days. We had the AWESOME pleasure of seeing Elizabeth several times. One day we had a mommy daughter day. Both of us got ear piercings and just enjoyed each others company. We were sad to have to say good bye. It was a short but excellent visit!!!! While in Escondido, we also had the pleasure of seeing my cousin Michael Preston. Mike treated us to dinner at a funky little place called Killer pizza from mars. It was good and quirky. So that is enough for now. I will post more later and catch everyone up. Take care of each other!!!!
